Meet Pilates Methodology instructor and Real Pilates graduate Kari Haris! She has a huge a sweet tooth and will give you a great classical Pilates workout.
How did you get started in Pilates?
I started Pilates when I was a kid and in an intensive ballet program. Pilates was one of the classes we had to take each week! Many years later, after college, I moved to Dallas and was looking for a consistent way to workout. I found Pilates again and have been completely hooked ever since.
What do you do outside of Pilates?
Outside of Pilates, I love to hang with my family – my husband, Peyton, my daughter, Carter, and my soon-to-be (due in September) baby boy!!! I also love to read and am in a couple book clubs! My husband and I are active at our church and love college football!
What is your favorite Pilates exercise?
Oh gosh, it is so hard to choose one! I obviously have to pick a mat exercise since I love mat so much! I love the ab series as a whole because of how effective it is in such a short amount of time. I also love one leg circle (ask anyone that has taken class from me). This exercise seems so easy just looking at it but when done correctly, it is incredibly hard!
What can we expect from you during a workout?
Good flow! I love to keep the class moving and working on our transitions between exercises. The whole mat workout should feel like a dance. I like to think I make class fun but also hard because I want you to get your moneys worth!
